The proposal for the new sport centre in Stäfa contributes to the harmonious urban landscape of the "Obstgarten school complex". The compact yet spacious halls blend naturally into the historically established structure with its clearly defined buildings and outdoor spaces. The new wooden sports centre follows the materialisation of the planned indoor swimming pool. Both are an expression of increased environmental awareness in the use of renewable building materials. They extend the material canon of the school complex with its aluminium facade from the 70s and the new community hall with its artificial stone facade from the 10s.
